Privacy

No account. No name. Your answers stay with you.

You're answering some of the most private questions there are. So the site is built so that your answers and your results never leave your device unencrypted, and nobody but you can open them.

What happens to your answers

  • All calculations run in your browser. Your answers and your result are never sent to any server, ours or anyone else's.
  • An unfinished measurement and your result history (date, damage, recovery outlook and type) are stored in your browser's storage (localStorage) on this device, so you can finish later and see what changed next time. At most the last 24 results are kept. Individual answers are deleted once a measurement is complete.
  • The Delete my data from this device button on the home page removes everything, including saved PRO results. Clearing site data in your browser does the same.
  • If you share a device with your partner, assume they could open this site and see a saved result. Use a private window, or delete your data when you're done. The Leave quickly button replaces the page with a weather page.

LITE and PRO result

Every measurement gives a free LITE result. The more detailed PRO result is written at the same time, in your browser, and sealed (encrypted) straight away, before it is stored. Opening it needs a key made of two halves:

  • a secret created on your device, which is never sent anywhere, and
  • a PRO code, which you get with MyFullReport PRO.

Neither half opens the PRO result alone. When you get MyFullReport PRO, your browser sends the company only a random code, which contains no answers, scores, type, name or email. The company returns the PRO code; your browser combines it with the secret and opens the PRO result on your device. The company never receives your answers, your results, the encrypted file or the final key, and could not read them if it did. Neither can we.

You can save an encrypted copy as a file to open on another device with your PRO code. Keep both private: together they open the PRO result.

If you ticked any sign of control or danger, no PRO result is prepared and MyFullReport PRO is not offered.

Who does what, and the licence behind it

  • A separate company, the seller of MyFullReport PRO, holds the rights to the meter software, including its PRO evaluation. Lebwerte uses the software under a licence that covers the LITE result, which it provides free. The licence does not cover the PRO evaluation: whoever wants their PRO result pays that company a one-time licence fee for using it, sold as MyFullReport PRO. The company is responsible for its software, MyFullReport PRO and the payment. Its name, terms and privacy notice are shown on its own site before you pay; you give your email and payment details to it directly, if it needs them.
  • Lebwerte, a non-profit association, runs Infidelity Meter and writes the content: the questions, the scoring, and the texts of the LITE and PRO result. It is responsible for that content and receives no payment from MyFullReport PRO. The company does not write, assess or see your results.

What the site loads

  • Fonts, styles, scripts and images are hosted directly on infidelitymeter.com. The site makes no connection to Google Fonts or any other third party.
  • The site sets no cookies. That's why there's no cookie banner.
  • Visitor analytics: none at present. If we switch it on, it will be a cookie-free tool that doesn't identify individuals (for example Plausible), it will measure only progress through the steps, never the content of your answers, and this paragraph will change before that happens.

Server logs

Like every server, the hosting keeps short-lived technical records of requests (IP address, time, file requested). They contain no answers or results and we don't link them with anything else.

Who runs the site

Infidelity Meter is run by Lebwerte, a non-profit association (Verein) based in Switzerland (lebwerte.com). Contact: hello@infidelitymeter.com.

Infidelity Meter is intended for adults (18+).
